Attending Remembrance Day ceremonies on November 11th is a well known way to honour the men and women who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace. There are many other ways, throughout the year, to remember the sacrifices and achievements of the one and a half million brave Canadians who served, and continue to serve, our country at home and abroad, and the more than 118,000 men and women who died so that we may live in peace and freedom today. Taking an active role to remember these people is one way to say “thank you.” Get ready with Sorensen Funeral Home services for your journey on leaving a legacy for your loved ones.

Everybody’s Gallery is doing its own take on the Day of the Dead with a mixed media art show! Family-friendly activities are also planned for Saturdays, October 18, and 25, and Nov. 1, including face painting, sugar skull painting, and other crafts.

We invite you to remember. Join us in our “Community Ofrenda.” Ofrenda literally means offering. It is a station to help us remember and celebrate the life of people we loved and respected; this can be family, or someone who inspired us to live, to love, and to laugh. We invite you, our Everybody’s Coffee community, to join us by bringing in photos, clippings, and mementos to tell the story of those we have lost and how they enriched our lives.

Please label the backs of all photos and objects with your phone number if you wish to have it returned. We cannot be responsible for loss or damage. Please use the clips provided. The ofrenda will be set up until Nov. 10th.
